Muse #205

Hi All,

Today I am sharing the card that I am entering into this week's Muse challenge.

I like that the main image of Muse's card comes from the top of the card and tapers off to leave a blank space at the bottom for the sentiment.  I decided to use this layout for my card.  I used the mehndi medallion impression plate from Papertrey Ink to create this layout and stamped the sentiment from the Natural Beauties stamp set, also by Paptertrey Ink.

Cherish

Here is my take in this week's CAS(E) this Sketch #210 challenge.

I used the Etched Flowers stamp from Hero Arts.  This stamp is definitely a "go to" for me, I absolutely love it.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts Best Wishes set.  I put a bit of pattered paper behind the main panel and adhered it, slightly off centre, with some foam tape.

Thanks for stopping by :)

Hi♡

Just a quick post tonight to share my take on the My Favourite Things Sketch Challenge #321.

This is the first time that I have entered a card in a MFT challenge.  Unfortunately I don't own any MFT stamp sets....yet (I have a few on their way to me as we speak).

I thought I would think outside of the box and use a stamp and some masking to replicate the sketch.  It was quite a time consuming card to make but I enjoyed it and am happy with how it came together.

Stamps used were from Mama Elephant's Central Park and Filigree stamp sets.

Thanks for stopping by :)

I Love Roo

So I have been AWOL for a while now.  Sometimes life just gets in the way of doing the things that you love.

On top of that the craft room/office was in a terrible mess that just kept getting worse and worse.  Over the Christmas break my husband and I got stuck in and gave it a real good clean out.  Two full days and lots of garbage bags later we had a clean and organised room again.

So with a clutter free space to work in again I got back into the card making.  And what better way to get into the swing of things than by entering a card in a challenge.

I will just squeeze in getting this card into the Paper Smooches February Challenge - Love.

I made a bit of a miscalculation when cutting down the card stock....that's what happens when you aren't paying full attention!  I managed to save it by sticking a piece of patterned paper from an old October Afternoon paper pad along the side.  Glad I made the mistake because I actually like how it turned out.  I used A Little Lovin stamp set for the main image and sentiment and die cut some little love hearts out of the same patterned paper.

Have a great day or night, wherever you are in the world.

Hey Dad!

Hello all,

Long time no blogging!

We have had so much going on the home front for the past couple of months that I haven't had a chance to craft.  I really needed to spend some time doing jobs around the house and garden that I have been putting off for quite a while now.

I've also been spending some time reorganising my craft space and have been on the hunt for some different and decorative storage ideas for the the bits and pieces that I have accumulated along the way. It has proved quite time consuming!  I will share some photos with you all soon.

Its Father's Day here in Australia this weekend so I thought that I would use this week's sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch to knock up a couple of cards for the dads in the family.  I bought the Boob Tubes stamp set from Paper Smooches a few months ago with Father's Day cards in mind.  Love all the little TVs in this set :)

September marks the start of a whole heap of birthdays around here, right up until Christmas Eve.  I will have to make a start on some cards so will have some more shares on the way.

Thanks for stopping by :)

Shoot For The Stars

Hi All,

Its been a very busy and stressful week at work and I am so glad that tomorrow is Friday!

Before making my card for this weeks CAS(E) this Sketch challenge I thought that I would give my work space a bit of a tidy up.  Hiding under a whole load of scrap paper I found some cork sheets.  I already had in mind what I was going to make but when I discovered these sheets, I thought that it would be a good idea to stamp my dart board image onto the cork.  I think it looks pretty good....even if I do say so myself ;)

Fusion #11

Hi All,

Quick post tonight with a card share for this weeks Fusion challenge.

This week I used Jackie's sketch.  I cut a piece of card stock into four separate pieces the spaced them apart and stamped the image.  I then matted those pieces with some brown card stock and stamped the the sentiment....quick crookedly lol.

Thanks for stopping by :)
