Happy Bee Day

How slack am I?  Just start up a blog and then go AWOL!  Sometimes life gets so hectic that we don't get the time to do what we enjoy doing.  But luckily those hectic times never last for very long.

I managed to get a little time to myself to create this card for my God Daughter's birthday.  I'm also entering it into Tiddly Inks current challenge which is right up my alley.....CAS.  I love the simplicity of these types of cards and the impact that they have.

The background was originally stamped with a repeating hexagon pattern but I wasn't too happy with the way that it turned out, it just didn't look the way that I imagined it would.  Then just in the nick of time my order from Papertrey Ink arrived!  I used this hexagon cover plate/die to emboss the cardstock and voila.....I love it!

Thanks for stopping by and hopefully it won't be so long between posts :)

Mr & Mrs

Today I am sharing with you a wedding card that I made for a co-worker.  Her colour scheme was black and white so I pulled out some lovely black and white washi paper, die cut the flowers using the Beautiful Blooms II die from Papertrey Ink and finished off the flower with a pearl brad.  I'm really happy with how the card turned out.....very simple and elegant.

I must apologise for the quality of my photos.  Our house got broken into and amongst the things stolen was our DSLR camera and all its lenses.  Although the insurance has come through, I am still waiting on my hubby to decide which camera he wants to get.  Hopefully this will be soon.  In the meantime I am making do with hurried photos on my iPhone.  So bear with me, they will get better soon.

Thanks for stopping by :)
